Hi 👋🏼 I’m Chanel. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of Kentucky, and a Masters Degree in Community Health from the University of Louisville. I have over 20 years of childcare experience. I have babysat and nannied for 4 week old infants all the way up to teenagers and everything in between. I also have experience in early childhood education and have tutored children in ESL, reading, math, science and social studies. I worked with AmeriCorps Jumpstart as a Team Lead, putting together reading curriculum for young students in underprivileged areas. I worked with a team and our entire objective was to help the students get a jumpstart on their reading to serve as a base for success in their academic careers. I have also worked with America Reads serving as a tutor to help elementary aged students. I teamed up with their teacher and we Read more formulated an individualized plan to help them succeed in any subjects they were challenged in. I love working with children in any capacity. I love watching them learn and grow whether that is through tutoring them and helping them achieve academic confidence again or caring for young children at home as their nanny. I currently nanny for a family with four young boys aged 6, 4, 2 and 6 months. I’ve been with them for 2 and 1/2 years now and am looking for a part time job to supplement my income.
