In addition to several years of babysitting experience (short term, occasional, and nanny positions), I have been working in the developmental sciences department at the University of Louisville for nearly three years as an undergraduate student. A large part of this job is playing with kids with intellectual and developmental disabilities during testing breaks and watching the siblings for several hours at a time, all while keeping their attention and having fun while separated from parents. While babysitting kids, I generally try to wear them out when having fun with me so they can get a good nights rest. I try to shy away from television as an activity, choosing crafts and time outside before all else. I like kids and they like me!
