Hi there! I am junior studying psychology with a social work minor at LSU and would love to eventually work as a counselor for children. I am from Houston, Texas. I have worked as a paid babysitter/nanny for the past seven years. I think I am unique in that I feel like I tend to become a part of the family for many of the families I work for; I have been with many children for years and I love seeing them grow (I still watch many kids in Houston I started babysitting in high school when I go home)! Currently, I am looking for a babysitting/nanny position during the day on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, or weekends. I am also available on evenings. My most recent experience has been for a family I regularly babysit for with three children aged 1, 2, and 3, and I adore them and their Read more family. I also spent my summer working full time as a nanny for a 6 month old baby girl. I have worked as a nanny for three summers for an infant and toddler at a law firm. I have cared for five children at a beach house for a week in the summer (ages 2, 3, 3, 5 and 6 years old). I also volunteered as a kindergarten teacher's assistant, which was one of the best experiences I have had and which inspired me to want to work with children! I have helped teach Vacation Bible School to 2 to 4-year-olds for four years and was promoted to a head teacher for two years after that. I have also worked as a regular babysitter for well over 20 families, many of whom I have worked with for years, as well as my own younger sister (age 12 years old) and cousins. I also have done many jobs that required transportation, such as driving from school/daycare and have taken children to the zoo/movies/elsewhere to do activities. I am very active and love to play and do activities. I also love reading and arts and crafts! I have worked for many families specifically through the website care.com for about two and a half years, and I want to see what sittercity.com has to offer! I can provide more references if needed!
