I am an alumni of Teach for America and a current certified middle school English and Social Studies teacher at a K-8 charter school. I studied communication theory and was a pre-law student in college, but decided that my passion lay with teaching while tutoring athletes in college. Although I am a middle school teacher, I often interact with students in the elementary school. I also work with many students who are academically functioning on a 3-4th grade reading level and have experience with reading interventions. I am looking for a babysitting or tutoring job this summer that can hopefully continue into the school year part time as I continue teaching this fall.
