My name is Beverly Clement and I graduated with my MA degree in Anthropology from Louisianan State University. I have recently moved to Leesville for a position on post. Over the last 3 years, I have turned to babysitting as a way to engage with families in my community as well as earn a little extra money. I have worked with children ranging in age from infancy to 11 years of age, allowing me to be comfortable with all ages, both female and male children. Many of the families that I have worked with have multiple children and I am comfortable with that as well.  I like to think that I have eclectic interests that include history, movies, photography, art, Do-it-Yourself crafts, scuba diving, and music. I am also an adovcate for helping inner city stray animals.  I myself rescued a cat when I first lived in Baton Rouge and Read more I named him Bowie. I also did a lot of volunteer work before beginning my MA program. I used to volunteer with the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles as well as with the San Bernardino County, CA, coroners office on a human remains recovery project to help identify John and Jane Does. I have a basic understanding of Spanish, although I would not consider myself fluent.    I do not have any specific caregiving philosophies, but i try to watch and take after the parents first and foremost.  I think that playing outside or doing something crafty is much more engaging for children than watching TV all day. Some of my favorite things to do with children is to take them to the park, build forts out of cushions and sheets, and to read books with them.
