I have been a babysitter, nanny, tutor, camp counselor, preschool teacher, dance, yoga and gymnastics teacher for kids, you name it. I have probably filled whatever child care position you can think of! I have cared for infants, worked as an art teacher at an overnight camp for teenagers and I've taught mindfulness and yoga to children with behavioral needs at an elementary school. I currently work full time as a nanny for a family with two children, ages 7 and 11 and in college I babysat for two families, one with toddlers and one with an elementary schooler. If you were a fly on the wall in any of these houses while I was babysitting or nannying, you would probably see things like Frisbee throwing in the backyard, board game playing, nature walking in the neighborhood, pencil drawings of three-legged monsters and the occasional sushi making or baking lesson. Read more I like to have as much technology-free fun as possible and I like to get the kids playing outside as long as the weather isn't too terrible! Practicing the jump shot at the hoop in the front yard, helping with a challenging word-problem from the week's math homework or just hanging out on the couch reading books for pleasure--I enjoy finding fun and interesting things to do with the kids I'm babysitting. Additionally, I am experienced working with infants and toddlers and love to work with kids in that age group. I have a bachelors degree from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon where I studied art history, modern dance and Spanish and I am also a Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor. I am available weekday nights and weekend days/nights.
