I've worked with kids on various occasions. For the past two summers I was a camp counselor. As a camp counselor I supervised eight 8 year-old boys within our cabin. In addition to that that camp's age range is from 7 to 15, and is co-ed. Therefore, I have experience working with a variety of ages and genders. There are a lot of problems the kids can have at camp, like homesickness and fighting, and from that I've learned not only how to solve those problems, I also have learned how to multi task. When I'm in charge of eight young boys, I need to know where they all are throughout the day, and foresee anything that might go wrong. I also worked as a baby sitter for two girls, ages 7 and 10. Occasionally, depending on the hours I was working, I would also make them dinner, and get them ready for bed. With that being said, I love working with kids. Their innocence and enthusiasm makes me passionate and enjoy every moment I have with kids. Not only that, but they make me feel vibrant and young again, as if I were a kid still. I want to be a positive influence on kids. Knowing that I can make a difference in their lives is a feeling unlike any other.
