Hiring just the right person for the job is a tough and important task. I know the lists of applicants beckon, so I won’t keep you long! Allow me tell you a bit about myself. Maybe it’s because of my visual/studio art background, but ever since I was a kid, I’ve known exactly what my goals were - to be an artist / astronaut / teacher / veterinarian of course! - and have pursued those ambitions with strength and intelligence- well the artist part at least! Like everyone, I am many things, hard to summarize in a short paragraph. I am a creative person with an avid hunger for new environments and new ideas. I am a confident speaker and intelligent team player eager to learn it all from the ground up. My professional experiences include, but are not limited to: Event Coordinator, Gallery Assistant, Museum Educator, Receptionist, and Sales Read more & Customer Service Associate, I am, however, first and foremost, a driven, disciplined artist, and a passionate, joyful worker with a desire to truly serve others and contribute meaningfully to real, important work. Most recently, I was employed in the brand new, challenging and immensely rewarding position of Event Coordinator at The Harvard General Store, a local, independently-owned cafe and community hub in Harvard, Ma. I worked alongside the kitchen and cafe staff to facilitate house-catered private and public functions, managed staff, customized furniture arrangements, led managers’ meetings, maintained client relations and financial records, and created and edited promotional materials. I fostered and maintained positive working relationships with clients, colleagues, building management, and vendors alike because events ran smoothly when effective communication enabled successful group work.
