I am a YOUNG 67 year old. I have run a nursery at a racquetball club for 5 years. In this position, I managed 3, 5, 6, and 8 month year olds at the same time, learning how to truly multitask and keep calm in hectic situations. I introduced activities to the children that were both educational and fun. Through reading books, watching educational shows, and doing hands-on activities, I kept their attention. I believe that being a Mother helps me relate to the children. Being a Mom, you understand that the children need to be changed, to be held, and to be fed when they are hungry. My personal experience as a Mom allows me to be aware of many things beyond the everyday needs of children. My son would have friends over and I would bake, help with homework, and do community bike rides with them. Though I Read more do not have direct nannying experience, I have other job experiences that I believe would help me be a good nanny; such as being an elementary school secretary who was in charge of being the nurse when she was unavailable. I was required to discipline children sitting next to me at my desk. I had a lot of exposure to children in the educational area.
