When I first started babysitting 5 years ago, I worked with a friend and we cared for 3 girls ages 6, 7, and 8 many times. Over the past three years, I have frequently cared for 2 children between the ages of 9-13. Over the past two years, I have volunteered at the Children's Center for 1-2 hours daily. This position was unpaid and I was always supervised, however, I gained valuable experience with children between the ages of 3-5, and learned many childcare techniques from certified teachers. I am also an assistant Irish Dance teacher, MA where I work with girls ages from 4-14. Dance class with the girls is my favorite part of the week. Kids generally like when I babysit because I am energetic and actively play games with them. I enjoy arts and crafts and creative games, both indoors and outdoors. I still love to play Read more pretend and will make up elaborate fairy tales just to get a smile from a frustrated child. I am able to follow a schedule and meet any specific expectations a parent may give me, such as helping kids with homework, preparing a light meal or healthy snack, or simply engaging children and keeping them occupied.
