I work in downtown Boston, as a Marketing Specialist for Healthwise, a health education non-profit. I moved to Boston 3 years ago from Seattle, where I was born and raised. I grew up with a younger sister, so I started babysitting at a very young age. Even when my mom was home, I often took responsibility for playing with and looking after my sister. As I grew, I was given more responsibility with looking after her without any adults at home. This experience led to other childcare jobs with family friends, and eventually to families in the community. In 7th grade I started looking after 2 young boys, 6 months and 3 years old, a few times a week. I continued caring for these boys through high school, and even after on special occasions. Even to this day, I continue to have a close relationship with the whole family.
