I was raised by a single mother as an only child. My mother worked several jobs while going to school in order to take care of me. She instilled values of respect, honesty and hard work in me from a very young age. All of her hard work made me want to do my best to help in any way that I could. I have experience working with children but not necessarily babysitting (there's a first time for everything!). I worked as a volunteer for City Year Boston in a 5th grade classroom for 10 months doing over 1000 hours of service to the children and their community which also involved organizing and implementing a successful educational and fun after school program. In addition to working there I also worked for a summer camp supervising over 20 children ranging from ages 7 to 12 when I was 17 years old. Read more Everyone who I've worked with in those settings have always told me how much the children adore me and always say I am good with children, so I figured I'd try out babysitting. I believe in helping our younger generation and giving them the necessary tools so that they may succeed in life. I have a great amount of respect for single mothers (courtesy of my wonderful mother raising me through all the hard times we faced) and I also have respect for those families where both parents put their best foot forward to show love and care for their children. I work as a project administrator for Cambridge Education in Westwood, MA. I do some budgeting work and work with some legal forms but I mainly manage education projects that involve our highly qualified consultants delivering their educational expertise to help low performing schools and underprivileged students throughout the United States. So I still work to help children but from behind the scenes. My college studies required me to take out school loans that I am still attempting to pay off 3 years out of college. This would be a fulfilling part time job in that I would contribute the growth of someones amazing children and I would also make some extra money to pay off those loans! Just for the record I do not smoke or drink, I don't party or club, I have no criminal record, I pay very close attention to detail, I am very trustworthy and honest, and I love kids!
