Since I can remember, I have been working with children in some capacity. In middle school, I worked with kids in a number of non-profit organizations, including Reach Out and Read at Boston Children's Hospital. Throughout high school, I worked in Wellesley High School's Child Development lab with children ages 3-6. While there, I was at times responsible for leading educational activities for up to 5 children, all of whom had individual needs, likes, dislikes, and personalities. While in high school, I also babysat for a number of families in my neighborhood, including a family with 2 children ages 6 and 10 and another family with an infant who was only 12 months. During college, I studied in Boston College's Lynch School of Education where I took Child Development, Family School and Society, and a number of other applied psych courses rooted in child development and education. I also volunteered Read more with a number of organizations during my 4 years in undergrad, including Jumpstart and St.Columbkille's. Since graduating, I have begun working as an Applications Sales Representative for Oracle, which is located in Burlington, MA. So far so good, but I am hoping to reconnect with my roots of working with kids and creating a fun and educational environment where we can laugh and learn.
