Hello! I am new to Portland, having recently graduated from college in Boston. I have 9 years of childcare experience with all age ranges, from three months to high school, and am comfortable with watching multiple children at a time. I have worked for families as a long-term after school nanny, as well as just the occasional date night or weekend babysitter. Throughout high school and college I also volunteered as a tutor for elementary and middle school aged students. While in Boston, I worked for a year in an internship performing hearing tests on newborn babies, and so am quite comfortable with infants as well. Additionally, I have a current BLS for healthcare providers certification (this includes CPR). I am a non-smoker, with a clean driving record and a car here in Portland. I am very comfortable with pets and don't mind caring for them as well. While I Read more prioritize having fun and being silly, I understand that babysitting/nannying is my job, and so safety and other responsibilities (such as homework and chores) come first. I am an extremely responsible, mature, caring, and positive individual who genuinely gets joy out of being around and taking care of children. I have a full time job during the week in research at a local hospital, but as a new college grad, and with my love of children, I am hoping to work as a date-night/occasional weekend or evening babysitter on the side.
