Growing up my family was an "AuPair Family", so caregivers have been a regular part of my life. I have very distinct and detailed memories from each different AuPair and I understand the influence that a caregiver can have in a child's life. My most consistent babysitting experience was the summer of 2012 when I was a full-time babysitter for a 4-year-old girl named Abbi and a 2-year-old boy named Ethan. Since then I have intermittently worked as a babysitter for them and a few other families. While living in Boston this past year I have cared for a 10-year-old girl, Scarlett, and an 8-year-old boy, Logan. I am a 2015 graduate from Indiana University where I studied Ballet with an outside field in Health Sciences. In June 2016 I moved to Boston, MA from Rochester Hills, MI to obtain my master's at Boston College Connell School of Nursing in Read more Advanced Practice Nursing, specifically Family Practice. I will officially be an RN as soon as I pass my NCLEX later this month 😊. I received my CPR certification for healthcare providers in May 2016 and am able to provide basic life support to all ages including infants. I also completed a 200 hour Register Yoga Teacher training program last spring through Citizen Yoga in Royal Oak, MI. Caregiving has been a part of my life and has led into my future career. Serving as a babysitter offers the perfect opportunity to do just that; it is so enjoyable that it does not feel like work.
