I am a sophomore at Simmons College but originally from Los Angeles. I intend to major in Social Work and hope to work with children and adolescents as a career. I am fluent in Spanish which is a skill I believe is beneficial to communicate with children but also parents. The babysitting experience I have acquired has been through my community such as neighbors or family for about 4 years. This past summer I cared for a 1 year old girl and a 4 year old boy. My responsibilities were feeding, supervising, playing, bathing, and changing them. I also tried to create a fun environment by reading books, teaching Spanish, painting and drawing. Lastly, I am CPR certified for both adults and infants which I received this past year. In conclusion, I believe the skill set I have acquired makes me a good caretaker.
