I graduated from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota in May and moved to Boston to be closer to my family and begin a job at Boston Children's Hospital. During college I worked as a kindergarten teaching assistant in a local children's center and babysat regularly for my professors and neighbors. I work at the New Balance Obesity Prevention Center at BCH where I am involved in research and program implementation related to nutrition and exercise. I am very close with my parents and younger brother who live in Western Massachusetts, and enjoy visiting them more often now that I am living in Boston. I ran cross country and track in college and am an avid cycler and nordic skier. I am working on applications to graduate school for a degree in Public Health. I aspire to pursue an M.P.H. and then a Ph.D in Social and Behavioral Sciences to Read more combine my passions for physical activity promotion, research, community work and teaching. I am feeling settled in to my new job and life here in Boston and found that I am missing spending time with children. I am hoping to meet some nice families here in the Brookline/Boston area!
