Hello! I just graduated from Harvard Graduate School of Education with a literacy specialist degree and am hoping to hang out with some sweet kids this summer before I return to my teaching position. I've taught 1st grade literacy for the last 7 years and have received the district's highest evaluation ranking all years of my teaching. In addition to teaching, I develop weekly individualize instruction for students at a Dyslexia clinic and now also serve as a mentor for other teachers there. I am skilled at using various reading assessment tools to develop learning sequences for a reader's unique needs. Although I teach 1st grade, I have worked with students of various ages. In addition to teaching internships with nationally recognized organizations (Breakthrough, Uncommon Schools), I also have many years of babysitting and tutoring experience.
