I have been babysitting since I can remember - alongside my mother when I was young, and then independently when I grew up. I've babysat for short periods of time and lengthy periods of time, and for kids ranging in age from infants to young teenagers. My two longest-term babysitting positions were for a family with 2 children (one girl, one boy - both between the ages of 5 and 8), and a family with 3 children (two boys - 7 and 9 yrs old, and one girl - 5 yrs old). I've loved every minute of my babysitting experience, from teaching kids how to play violin, helping with homework, playing soccer, doing art projects, or just sitting down for a meal together. In addition to babysitting experience, I have worked at several after school programs, summer camps, and summer enrichment programs, both as a residential counselor and a teaching Read more assistant, for kids ranging in age from 5 to 18. I have also volunteered for several years with different Therapeutic Horseback Riding programs, assisting in giving lessons to younger and older children with various physical and mental challenges. I hope to earn my Masters in Teaching in either English or Music sometime in the coming year or two, and in addition to babysitting, would be happy to tutor your child, give music lessons, do light cooking and housekeeping, and pet sit, should you need it (I have extensive pet sitting experience and have volunteered at the MSPCA in Boston for the past two years, caring for the cats, dogs, and small animals in their adoption center). FYI: Currently do not have driver's license or car so looking for jobs that wouldn't require driving. Will hopefully be getting my license in September and will update my profile when I do.
