Hello, my name is Alexis and I graduated from Boston University with my Master’s in Social Work in May 2012 (4.0 GPA). I moved to Massachusetts from Arizona in 2010 and have fallen in love with Boston. During my first year of graduate school, I worked as Clinician Intern at a local middle school. My second year was spent interning at a non-profit mental health agency in Quincy working with both children and adults. Prior to graduate school, I was an Intensive Case Manager for adolescents and children with psychological & behavioral disorders. After a year in this position, I was promoted to something called an “Out-of-Home Consultant” monitoring youth who were in out of home treatment facilities. While I was working, I also volunteered with a refugee family from Nepal (which was an incredible experience)!! I graduated from Arizona State University with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor Read more in Business (4.0 GPA, Phi Beta Kappa Member). While in school, I spent my junior year interning abroad in England working with adolescents. During my freshman and sophomore years, I was a member of “Best Buddies” (working one-on-one with a special needs adult) and Camp Sparky (promoting higher education at low-income elementary school students). While in high school, I spent my weekends babysitting and working in restaurants. If it is not clear, I have a strong work ethic and absolutely LOVE children!! Now that school is over and I work full-time as a Clinical Therapist, I would love to find a side babysitting job if possible.
