Meet Mona

I am a senior at Mount Holyoke College, and have been babysitting since I was 14 years old. I was a Pal at Horizons for Homeless Children, where once a week, I cared for 4-6 toddlers with another Pal. In high school, I babysat children of all ages, though mostly toddlers through second graders. The families I cared for most often included a brother and sister, ages 4 and 7, a little girl, age 1, and two sisters, ages 8 and 11. I am most comfortable with children in preschool through grade school. When babysitting, I enjoy doing art projects with the children, reading, and playing pretend. With toddlers, I enjoy playing games like peek-a-boo and singing nursery rhymes. The things I do when I babysit are always child centered, though, in that they choose the activities and the kind of games we play.
