Hey there! My name is Tori, I am 25 years old and I love nature! My resume included various jobs working with youths and also animals. I worked as a Residential Counselor at Saint Vincent's home. This is a safe home where children are placed immidatly after being removed from their home due to unfit conditions. Here I helped to support and be a temporary guardian for 12 youths between the ages of 5 and 12. This was an intense job that gave me skills of group management, following a disapline plan, positive reinforcement, and redirecting youths. I am also trained in medication distrabution. I also worked for Rocky Mountain Youth Corps based in Steamboat, CO as the Fire Crew Leader. This position gave me outdoor medicine training, leadership experience, and youth mental health certifications. This job inlcuded leading 8 young adults (ages 18-25) in all work, living, and camping Read more activities. It was a strenuous job that included lots of manual labor, saftey meetings and standards, and living with the crew in tents. My most recent job involving youths was at the YMCA before and after school care as a Group Leader. My responsibilities included serving breakfast, leading group activities, enforcing safety, helping with homework. The YMCA offered many great classes about being an advocate for youths. I love working with young people because they are the future. It is important to me to be a positive influence on youths. I also love having fun, laughing, and being goofy with kids. I feel like when I spend time with people of any age that I learn from them and they learn from me. I love helping to teach small life skills and ensuring safety in subtle ways. I feel very comfortable with various animals. My parents have a small homestead that includes a large garden, chickens, ducks, sheep, bunnies, dogs, and cats. I love caring for all the animals. I have also worked on two farms doing WWOOFing. One farm included alot of care for pigs, sheep, and goats. I love animals and would be more than happy to help you with yours!! I am comfortable with being accountable for several children or animals or a mix. We would need to talk about the exact situation and how much attention and support each child or animal would need to make sure I could fit their needs! Just talk to me about it :)
