I have spent my professional and personal life working with young children. I am a former elementary school teacher (10 years) and currently work as a teaching assistant in a local public school. My professional work, Master's degree in education, years as a mom and a wealth of child care experiences give me the unique ability to offer my summer services as both a tutor and sitter. To my work, I bring a sense of humor and fun, love and knowledge of 'things to do on the Cape', balanced with age/grade level appropriate academic support and meaningful "home time" (reading, games, crafts and very limited screen time!!) My very responsible and sweet 12 year old son, who loves young children, would accompany me most days and act as a helper/playmate. It is important that prospective employers understand that my services are high quality - I am not a teen or Read more college student, but a professional with a great understanding of child development, and a mother who lives the necessary summertime balance of unstructured play/quiet time/summer activity. In addition to my role as a tutor and child care provider, I offer meal prep, light housekeeping and leave the house the way I'd want to return to it as a working parent.
