I was an ABA Specialist/1:1 at a public school. Working with children has always been a joy for me. I am hoping to continue caring for children now that I have retired from public schools. My retirement started January 2016. I have over 20 years experience working with children with disabilities. I am patient, loving and caring, especially with children. I have always enjoyed being around them. When I work with young ones I can feel their happiness and contentment when I am around. The smile on their faces. There is no greater joy than that. I am available Monday- Friday morning and afternoon hours. References upon request. I have raised 3 children of my own, one set of twins, who are now 35 years old. My family hired Kathie last year for 3 mornings a week as our first babysitter / nanny experience. Boy was I nervous! My children are 6 and 4 now, and 5 and 3 at the time. What a wonderful experience! As a school teacher, they have not seen her since June, but still talk about her and the fun they had. She was incredibly reliable, always on time and never missed a day. She is open and honest, calm and did every thing asked of her and more. My two young energetic boys were always well-behaved with her consistent, clear, calm expectations. She is friendly, experienced and a fabulous addition to our family. I work part-time and would not hesitate to have her as our full-time care if we needed it.
