I got into this work after spending a year and a half living with couple of friends who had a 1 1/2 year old son. By the time he was three I had decided that being a caretaker for kids was really rewarding and taught me a lot. I have been a camp counselor, a music teacher, a dance instructor, a babysitter, a cook, an around-the-house-helper, and a pet-sitter. It is important work and I have fun. I have been certified as a lifeguard as well as in first aid. In the rest of my life I am a folk performer and MA student in anthropology.
