Hello parent or caretaker. Thank you for reading my Profile. I have a good deal of experience teaching and caring for children, which I have found very enriching. From 2002 to 2007 I enjoyed educating and caring for children as a classroom aid & substitute teacher for Pre-K through high school at public and Catholic schools in Norwood, Dedham and Needham. For 2 years following that, I worked in retail sales. Then, from 2010 to 2014, I was employed by 2 families who live in the South End. I drove their daughters (in Grades 7 and 9 as of 2010) in the afternoon from Ursuline Academy in Dedham to various activities & then home, where I made them snacks, did light housework, and helped them with homework. I am strong in Liberal Arts including French (am fluent since studying & working in France) and especially enjoy tutoring students in writing. Read more My references are excellent, including employers from 2002 through 2014. Also, from my manager in my most recent position (2013 to August 8, 2016) as the Customer Care Specialist for Volkswagen Gallery Norwood. I was laid off due to a slowing in business related to the diesel emissions issue. My parish priest has offered to provide a character reference. I have decided to no longer work full-time, preferring to work afternoons from now on, allowing me time to care for my elderly Mom mornings & to spend more time at the gym as well as volunteering for organizations that I support such as the Animal Rescue League of Boston Dedham Branch and the Dedham Food Pantry. I am an upbeat, fit person, happily married, and like playing games with children indoors or outdoors. I am also artistic and enjoy creating arts & crafts projects with children when homework is finished. My husband's & my own daughter is 20. She attended Fontbonne Academy in Milton and is now majoring in Studio Art and Art History in college. I miss her, so that is another reason I enjoy taking care of students.
