Hello, I am interested in babysitting in order to pick up some part-time work while I am working at Fitchburg State University this summer as a research assistant. I just graduated with my B.S. in Mathematics, but started out as a early childhood and elementary education student, so I have taken numerous classes on education and child development and completed pre-practicum at several different public schools. I have worked as a full-time school age group leader (ages 5-10) at a local child care center for the last four summers and occasionally during winter breaks. My responsibilities include supervising, creating, and engaging in educational and recreational activities with these children at a child care center with over 100 children. I typically managed anywhere from 1-18 children at once. I have created fun STEM curriculum to engage the children in learning in the summer, and have engaged children in board games, art Read more activities, drama productions, and numerous outdoor activities, including off-site field trips. I have some experience with preschool age children. Additionally, I have been CPR/First Aid certified for the last six years and have completed numerous trainings through the EEC. I am available every week day after 3/4pm and occasional weekends through July 22nd.
