I have babysat on an as-needed basis for one child for the past four years (from the age of two to the age of six). My responsibilities varied from watching him for a brief time during the day to bathing him, feeding him dinner, and putting him to bed. I babysat a six-year-old once a week for a year; I was responsible for watching her and then putting her on the bus for school. I also occasionally babysit a five-year-old on an as-needed basis. In the past, I have volunteered in my church's nursery and Sunday school class. I have three younger siblings and have interacted with children in my church and other settings, so I am aware of the responsibilities it entails. I also took a Red Cross babysitting course in 2007.
