My name is Dale and I work in the Special Education department at Reading Memorial High School. I graduated from Framingham State University in 2012 with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. I am currently pursuing my Master's Degree in Special Education at Salem State University. I am also a member of the Massachusetts Army National Guard and must report one weekend per month and two weeks in the summer. I have achieved my first aid certification from the Army. I have also taken a basic EMT course and will be pursuing my EMT license in the near future. I have had a variety of experiences working with children of all ages. For a few in high school years I coached Pop Warner, working with children between the ages of 10-14. As a member of the Melrose High and Framingham State football team, I also participated in many mentoring groups. These Read more groups met with children from elementary to high school. I was very active in the set up and management of the Special Olympics held at Framingham State, and was the Vice President of the Best Buddies club at Melrose High. My main responsibility as VP was to bring together students with intellectual disabilities and their peers who did not have disabilities to build social relationships.
