I am currently a junior at Salem State University studying elementary education and geography. In high school I worked in a laboratory preschool where I worked with children between the ages of three and four. I also babysat a girl who was in the third grade when I was in high school. I was responsible for picking her up from school, preparing a healthy snack, helping her with homework, and driving her to dance class once a week. When we were not doing homework we were outside playing with chalk in the driveway, playing tag in the backyard, playing board games, playing school, playing catch in the backyard, or swimming. I have also babysat for family members and family friends. For the past four summers I have worked in a water park where I interacted with children of different ages and their families.
