Hello! My name is Jaime Burt and I am looking for the right fit for a full or part time nanny position in Nassau County on Long Island. I am 28 years old and have 5+ years of childcare experience (5 years as a full time nanny and 2 years as a full time postpartum doula). I have experience with children of all ages, am certified as a birth and postpartum doula, and am certified as a pediatric sleep consultant. I, of course, am also first aid and CPR certified. My responsibilities as a nanny have included maintaining the safety and wellness of children of all ages, arranging playdates, transporting the children to school, sports, and other activities, planning educational outings such as going to the zoo, science museum, or library, meal prep, light household chores and organization, homework assistance, overseeing virtual school during COVID, and developing a loving and Read more supportive relationship with the kids. My responsibilities as a postpartum doula are to educate new parents about how to care for their newborn, feeding support, sibling care, overnight support, sleep training, and providing emotional support during the postpartum period. One crucial thing to note is that I will be delivering my first baby in August. I would love to find a position with a November or December start date in which I can bring my baby to work with me. As my husband is a full time medical student, I will be responsible for the care of our child, and I don’t feel comfortable putting our baby in daycare that soon.
