Hello! My name is Annie Borges, I'm 20 years old, and I'm studying psychology in pursuit of a career in psychotherapy with a focus on adolescents. I have recently decided to take some time off before returning to my education, so I'm looking for the right family who is seeking for a nanny / sitter for their child/ children! I have recently moved to Andover, Massachusetts and I am looking for something within a 25 mile radius. I have a passion for working with kids, and have taken to child care not simply because I need a job, but because I truly enjoy helping children grow and learn. I am responsible, reliable, compassionate, and take the responsibility of caring for other people's children very seriously. I am open to either full time or part time employment. My experience is as follows: Besides date night babysitting since the age of fourteen, my first position working with kids was working as a U-11 girls lacrosse coach for three seasons. I then picked up a job during the summers at the Plymouth County DARE (Drug and Alcohol Resistance Education) summer program, where I worked as a camp counselor my first year, and then was promoted to a senior peer leader the next. I then worked as a nanny for an 8-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy. The position was very involved and my responsibilities included getting the children ready in the morning and off to school, household chores during the day, homework supervision, meal preparation, bringing the kids to their respected activities, and more. I even spent a month in the cape with them and cared for them Monday- Friday, day and night, entirely on my own. My next job was at a daycare for children ranging in ages from 3 months old to 5 years old, whose parents worked at the University Of Vermont Medical Center. I spent time in each of the rooms that were separated by ages and levels of development but I worked primarily with the 2 and 3- year-olds.
