I have been involved in childcare for as long as I can remember. At age 11 I was watching over my 1 year old neighbor to give his Mom her own time to rest and take care of the house. I proceeded to babysit through middle school and high school for infants to elementary aged children (both boys and girls) in my hometown on the South Shore. I was also a certified lifeguard during this time as a summer job. I went away to college and took a break from child care for a few years to earn my bachelors degree in nursing.
