I have had years of experience. I started babysitting neighbors and cousins at age 13. In High school I attended a part time voc school (as well as typical high school) for early childhood education. Students there also worked in the on site preschool. This was a great educational foundation that I still build from. In college I obtained more credits with ECE classes as well as child development. I'm very interested in the milestones and educational feats performed at different stages of life. I then switched majors to English and Language with a goal on mind of becoming an English teacher. I am great when it comes to helping children learn to read or younger kids recognise letters and sounds. For five years I worked at Even Start, an after school program for kids whose parents are taking GED classes or learning to speak English. There I had experience Read more with every age and some children with disabilities or learning differences. All the while I continued with private childcare. I am still friends with families I sat for years ago! I just watched one child graduate from High school and was so happy and proud that I helped him with his reading way back when. I am very concerned with safety, your children will always be away from harm. I have experience with different diciplinary tactics. I am patient and nurturing, silly but calm.
