We first met Marielle 2 years ago when she was my daughter's camp counselor at a prestigious local summer camp. Not only did we trust her completely because of the camp's screening process and training but she won us over almost immediately with her enthusiasm. She helped my then 5 year old daughter have an AMAZING first summer at camp. As soon as we realized that Marielle was local and could babysit, we hired her. My son who was then 3 had been in daycare but DESPISED having sitters and would regularly scream, have tantrums and try to run out of the house when sitters arrived. Marielle was the first sitter EVER that he was happily left with; she won him over instantaneously with her charisma and ability to speak to kids at their level. He felt comfortable enough to let us leave without crying and the next day told us that he loved her and would want her to babysit again. Since that day we have had Marielle babysit fairly regularly. Both my children have severe food allergies, and we have always felt that they have been safe in Marielle's care. She has fed them, played with them, helped them do their bedtime routines and put them to bed many many times. She has continued to babysit for us when she is home from college and the kids are always thrilled to see her. She has been with the kids at some points for almost ten hours and things are always great on our return. She is charismatic, responsible, intelligent and great with kids. I recommend her without reservation.
