I am a certified Behavioral Technician (BCAT) with 2-3 years of experience working with children from infancy through age 14, including nonverbal children and kids with developmental differences. Working in this field has taught me a lot of patience. A lot of the time when kids act out, they are just too young or do not have the words yet to say what they need, and I have gotten really good at reading that and responding calmly.
