I recently have moved to Boston from Springfield, MO where I received my Bachelors Degree in Music Education (K-12) from Missouri State University. I have received my teaching license from Missouri and it is pending in Massachusetts. I am currently working part time in Cambridge. I do not currently have CPR or First Aid certification, but I am willing to get this before a job's start date. I started babysitting for families in my church when I was 12 in Jefferson City, MO. I took a babysitter class through the red cross before I began babysitting regularly. I have cared for ages 1-12 years. I babysat as families needed me until I was 17. I also periodically worked in my church's nursery. I stopped because my schedule did not allow time for it. I did not continue in college also due to my schedule and my lack of knowledge of Read more families needing babysitters. When I babysit children, I enjoy a variety of activities. Whether it is in the front/back yards or at the park, I like playing outside with the kids. I also enjoy doing different crafts, puzzles, and board games. If desired, I would love to take the children to library or other places they enjoy. As I have a degree in music education, I would be willing to incorporate aspects of it into my child care if the parents desire it. This is something I have not done before, but I would like to explore the idea of it.
