My name is Bonnie and I'm a 47 year old American trained nanny. I graduated from the National Academy of Nannies in Denver, CO. I have extensive experience working with children from newborns to teens and I can speak Spanish and Italian. I also have my TEFL and I have seven years of experience teaching English to children abroad. I value teaching by modeling respect for others, consistency in routines, limited screen time for children, healthy food options, and time worked into each day for reading and singing. My ideal work family would be one where I was not only valued, but was allowed autonomy to organize and plan my days incorporating weekly trips to the library, parks, and various other destinations such as museums or play dates. I enjoy arts and crafts projects, especially seasonal ones, baking projects, science experiments, and exploring our neighborhoods. I believe that children need to be kept safe, but at the same time must be allowed to take risks in order to find out what they are capable of and in many cases would rather teach them the safe way to do something rather than forbid it outright.
