College graduate: Bachelor of Science (double major, graduated Summa Cum Laude) pursuing a Graduate Degree. I was a day care teacher + previous owner of a licensed home day care. I have 30+ years of child care experience including caring for preemies, multiple infants, toddlers, preschoolers, preteens and twins! I have even babysat groups of children in hotels (i.e. weddings, family functions, business trips, etc.). I believe in reading lots of books. Depending on the age, gender, and interests of the children we can make arts & crafts projects, color, play board games, create nail art, braid hair, create cooking experiments (pasta from scratch, color boiled eggs, etc.), read books, assemble puzzles, make our own games, play sports, or help with homework. I Read more encourage children to express themselves creatively and am excited to see how they turn my idea into something new. I can drive children to after school and sports activities (+gas fee) but no laundry, housekeeping, or errands! I am a non-smoker. I am CPR, First Aid, & Home Health Aide trained. I have a clean driving record, valid driver's license, safe reliable all-wheel-drive vehicle. I served in the military with a medical unit. Military + Nursing school also conduct BACKGROUND CHECK + drug screening. I have a current BACKGROUND CHECK (can run new one). I am pet friendly (no pets currently). I have also traveled with families on vacation to babysit. My list of clients is constantly growing and changing. Many children I babysat for even knew each other from school or other programs - camp, dance, gymnastics, karate, Taekwondo, soccer, swimming, etc.! We have been fortunate to have met Paula "aka" ( merry poppins) through this site. We moved over from England 18 months ago and struggled to find a sitter with all the qualities that Paula has , and she exceeds them on every level. We have been using Paula for 4 months and she is absoulty great. I have 2 kids 14 year old son and a 11 year old girl , my daughter loves it when Paula comes over to the house as they do various arts and crafts and helps her with her homework . Paula has truly been a blessing to our family. We recently moved across country and didn't know anyone. As a nervous new mom Paula gave us the reassurance and comfort we needed in finding the right childcare. She was always on time and extremely helpful in making our lives easier and adjustable. She's caring and really takes into account the child's wellbeing by bringing her own toys and books. I would recommend her to anyone .
