As the oldest child in a large family, I began babysitting when I was ten years old. In college I work for two years at Brightside for Families and Children in West Springfield. Now closed, it was a treatment center for abused and neglected children. That experience made me fall in love with special education. I studied education at Elms College from 1996-2000. I am currently employed as a paraprofessional with the Gill-Montague Regional School District. I've served in both Life Skills and Therapeutic programs for the district, as well as academic special education. As a school employee, I a fingerprinted and have regular CORI checks. I am CPI certified, and am taking Responsive Classroom training this summer. I have been caring for children for 30 years, and love spending time with young people.
