I started babysitting at the age of 10 as a mother's helper. Since then, I have worked with kids ages 0 - 18. I am the eldest of four children with my youngest brother being 15 years old. Currently, I am a Senior at the University of Connecticut majoring in Physiology and Neurobiology with a minor in Sociology. I have shadowed a local pediatrician during an internship position and often served as a calming influence in the presence of a child's doctor. As a part of my eligibility for my pre-healthcare fraternity at UConn, I am BLS CPR (Basic Life Care Support for Healthcare Providers) certified and my certificate is valid until October of 2016. I have taken First Aid courses in the past. As the oldest sibling of four children who have ADHD and learning disabilities, I often serve as a tutor for them in math and science, as Read more well as in writing. Also, my family has always had dogs, and I'm a huge dog lover. I have no allergies, so pets are not an issue for me. During my high school years, I was an avid runner and soccer player. I also coached a U10 boys soccer team for two years while volunteering in my local hospital. I remain active at UConn and serve as a referee for intramural soccer and am an office assistant to all of the directors of UConn Recreation. I continue to referee soccer in Wellesley during tournaments. I have always enjoyed babysitting and would love to care for your children.
