Qualifications: Bachelor of Arts in English and American Literature. National Vocational Qualification in Customer Service. I am a mother of 3 children, including twins, who are now all teenagers. I am an artist but am looking to earn a more reliable income this year. As a volunteer in my church I have worked as the head of the children's organization, back when I lived in England. This included organizing the Sunday School meetings for the children ages 3-12, with lessons, singing and activities; overseeing staffing; organizing more occasional Saturday activities such as Christmas parties or family fun days. Here in the U.S. I have done a 10 month stretch as the children's music leader and am currently the Nursery Leader. I have been in this (voluntary) position for about 18 months. We have about 12-16 18 month-3 year olds on average, for a 2 hour program each Sunday. There is Read more a bare bones program in place which I have then molded to suit the needs of the children as we go along. I am enjoying this position because it is rewarding to see a child's progression through this developmental stage. They begin by being rather tearful at leaving their parents in most cases and it is nice to see them become accustomed to the Nursery and enjoy it and look forward to coming. They usually start off pretty silent but suddenly you realize they have a lot of vocabulary as they start talking more and more in the second half of their time. I enjoy singing very much which small children usually enjoy doing especially if they can jump around and dance. As an artist I enjoy creative activities, art and crafts etc.
