Hi parents! My name is Mekalia, I am 22 and a recent college graduate. I earned a degree in American Sign Language/English Interpreting from the University of New Hampshire. My ultimate goal is to work with Deaf/Hard of Hearing and special needs children in the foster care system. I have always loved children. I am blessed to be a big sister to 5 wonderful siblings, I have babysat/nannied since I was 13, worked for a daycare before I left for college, I volunteered with special needs children and teens, and I have interned in elementary school classrooms. Additional work experience includes two years as an RA, a year as a peer assistant leader, a year as a student liaison, and a year as an engagement programmer at UNHM (we were responsible for creating and running events on campus). My family and I have been covid cautious. I have a reliable Read more car, am a non-smoker, I am CPR certified. Experienced with all age groups, I love cooking, and I'm comfortable with animals
