I’m the oldest of four girls and have been taking care of children for as long as I can remember. I’ve worked as a babysitter since my middle school years and was a live-in nanny to two families in London and Paris. My undergraduate degree is in Youth, Adult and Family Services and I focused much of my studies on child development with a concentration in families at risk. I’ve since worked as a Case Manager at Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) where I provided health education to low-resourced high-risk pregnant women and children under five then served in the Peace Corps doing HIV/AIDS outreach in South Africa. I now work at a local non-profit designing maternal health projects mainly in Southeast Asia and frankly I miss seeing children every day.
