Hi, my name is kayla! I am a sophomore at Towson University who is studying nursing. I live in Baltimore city, near Morgan state university, which is near Lauraville! I would be super interested in this position! I have had the opportunity to babysit a set of fraternal twins that are 5 years old and will be turning 6 in October. I started babysitting them when they were 3 years old and stopped when they started school in September of 2017. I prepared meals for them, aided them with bathing, engaged with them in physical games such as kickball and other games of that nature. I also have engaged in brain stimulating activities such as coloring, counting, and other educational games of that sort. They also watch television or Netflix from time to time. From March 2018 - August 2018, I watched a special needs child who was diagnosed with Read more sickle cell anemia. She required extra attention and special tasks such as checking her temperature, keeping the rooms at room temperature so that she would not be too hold or too cold, and giving her medicine that was she prescribed. I fed her, changed her diaper, put her to sleep, made her bottles, etc. I love babysitting because I love the positive energy that kids bring around and i enjoy being around them so that they can bring out my childhood self!
