In addition to having extensive neighborhood babysitting experience throughout middle and high school, I have more formal childcare experience through several of the summer job positions I have held over the past couple years. More recently, I worked for two summers as a swim instructor at a summer camp for children ages 5-13 and over the past summer as Applied Behavioral Analysis Therapist for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. As a student at the University of Rochester, I also volunteer at Rochester Prep Middle School through the Eye to Eye program. The program involves administering weekly art therapy and acting as a mentor for students with learning differences. Working with children is something I have always found rewarding and I hope to make a life long career of it in the field of mental health.
