I have been working with kids since I was 16 years old. It all started when I took child development class in high school, then receiving a job as a daycare teacher at Fitness 4 Less and also doing my community service at my old daycare Redeemer Child Care Center both of these places are located in Bowie, MD. I've worked with 3months- 12 years old. Before I received a job as a daycare teacher or taking child development class. I was watching/babysitting family members children. My family members loved the way it came so easy to take care of infants- school agers. Growing up I always wanted to be involved working with kids. I unfortunately had to leave the daycare I was working at Fitness 4 less due to having to attend my first year at college. In the meantime I was trying to decide if I wanted to follow my mothers foot steps and work in the school system. My mom was a teacher for 20 years, She is now a special education coordinator. Instead of becoming a teacher I am majoring in Speech Pathology at Towson University and I hope to work in either a clinic or hospital working with kids and adults, but hope to work with kids the majority of the time.
