I am a mother of 3 who enjoys working with kids and has lots of experience! I would like to find a part-time job during school hours, so I can be available for my own family after school. I have been around kids my entire life! I grew up as the second oldest of 4, so I babysat my siblings frequently, and as a teenager I babysat for many different families. In high school I worked in the nursery at my church and volunteered as a tutor for elementary students, and I continued volunteering at a different elementary school when I moved on to college to study education. My background is in elementary education, and before my oldest child was born, I taught 4th grade. I'm certified to teach grades 1-8, but my certification is in a different state and I have not undergone certification in MD. I stayed at Read more home full-time with my kids until 2 years ago and also babysat in my home in the last 6 years I have been a long-term babysitter for children ages newborn through 6 years old, for 2 different families: first for a family that has moved out of state, and then for a family whose children are now in school and no longer need a babysitter. I worked at a local nursery school for the last two years but was recently downsized due to reduced enrollment numbers for this school year. Both the families for whom I babysat and the director of the nursery school would be happy to talk to you as references. In addition, I have taught religious education at my church and volunteered at our VBS, and I'm certified for CPR and First Aid. I look forward to meeting your family!
