I am currently a Baltimore Chesapeake Bay Outward Bound instructor with a Bachelors in Outdoor Leadership from Warren Wilson College. I have a passion for experiential education and playing outside with children of all ages. My mother has run an in-home daycare for infants to 5 year olds my entire life. I grew up playing with the children, helping out as I grew older, and then babysitting for many of the families throughout my middle and high school years. Throughout college I volunteered with various schools to run experiential programs with elementary and middle school aged children. During the summers I worked at a sleep away summer camp in West Virginia leading rock climbing trips and teaching children outdoor living skills. As an Outward Bound instructor, I lead groups of Baltimore City school students on 5 day long hiking, canoeing, and sea kayaking expeditions. I have experience working with 8th Read more graders to 12th graders. I am looking for work to fill my time off during the winter months, while still working with children. My Outward Bound season ends in the middle of November, so I will be unavailable to work until then. The season then resumes at the end of March, so I am only available from November to end of March.
