Dear Parents, I have eleven years varied and extensive childcare experience. I am a waldorf Kindergarten assistant teacher working towards my Waldorf Early Childhood teacher certification.I also have two summers experience as a camp counselor and one summer as an assistant to a pediatric physical therapist. I studied English Literature and French at Pace University, while having spent a year abroad at the University of Paris studying French: which I speak proficiently. I am comfortable with children of all ages because of my varied experiences as a child care provider and tutor. As a sitter, I do my best to develop a raport with the children in my care by adapting to their style of interaction and by learning as much as I can about each child. Nneka was such a great sitter for us. She's so calm and understanding with little people. She always went above and beyond with creative play, songs and stories. Really talented at working with children and a great communicator. Would love to have kept working with her, but unfortunately a cross-country move prevented it.

We had Nneka come two full days last week and she was wonderful-- arrived happy and excited to meet our girls, and they both loved her. She was great with a very fussy, teething baby, and at playing a million board games with my other daughter.

Although we have been quite fortunate with some great babysitters in our time, I can say, without hesitation, that Nneka is probably the best sitter our family has experienced. Not only do my children (5 and 9) love her, but Nneka feels like part of our family. She has a wonderful manner of being very present with the children, attentive and patient with their needs. I've watched my children blossom under her creative and calm discipline. From taking the subway together, playing the park and doing homework together, Nneka is someone I trust completely.
